Bundling supply AFs
Supply AFs (air, chilled water, hot water, Hpu source) collect request information from connected room segments and provide it to the primary plants. In return, availability and other information from the primary plants is distributed to room segments. Grouping is used to collect and distribute the information.
A group manager is limited to handling 250 group members so that grouping must be cascaded. A bundling AF (SplyXx12) bundles (or precollects) requests from several room segments. The grouping mechanism is used for bundling.
For example, a bundle can consist of all the room segments on a floor.
As installed, each bundle is on a separate IP subnet, connected via an IP Switch to a central IP router.
A central AF SplyXx11 collects the requests from all the bundles via grouping. The requests are treated as if each floor was one large room. We recommend ensuring that each room segment bundle has approximately the same nominal power demand.
The following figure illustrates an example with bundled air and hot water information. 10, 1, 2: Group numbers.
