Importing user designations

You can only import a user designation file (exported from XWP), if the User designation settings table is empty. If you need to import a user designation file, remove the existing structure first.

If you have an XWP project, you must import the user designation from an XWP export file (*.xwpuds). Otherwise you cannot use the user designation in Desigo CC without import errors.

 

Import a user designation file

  1. You have exported a user designation file (*.xwpuds) from XWP.
  1. Go to Settings > Naming defaults > User designation settings.
  2. Click Import user designation.
  3. Select the xwpuds file from the directory where you have stored the file.
  4. Click the option button in the Data point to select the BACnet object level. The BACnet object level must correspond to your XWP template.
  1. You have imported a user designation file from XWP. You can now import and use it in Desigo CC.
