BACnet/SC support
Siemens offers products for creating a complete BACnet/SC network, starting where it matters most – at the management station and primary system controller level. These are the system components most likely to reside on or exchange information with an enterprise or IT network.

- ABT Site version 4.4 or higher is required to configure a BACnet/SC network and manage the certificates for the life of the system. ABT Site also allows for vendor coordination by exporting the root certificates to be used by other vendors tools.
- Desigo CC version 5.1 or later is required to support BACnet/SC node functionality in the management station. The Desigo CC node connects to a BACnet/SC hub capable device.
- The PXC5/7 is a BACnet/SC hub/node as well as BACnet/IP-to-BACnet/SC, BACnet MS/TP-to-BACnet/SC, and BACnet MS/TP-to-BACnet/IP router. In the automation system, the PXC5/7 automation station is a BACnet/SC hub-capable device with support for 100 simultaneous node connections. The PXC5/7 can also be used as a node device once the need for a primary hub and the recommended failover hub has been met. The PXC5/7 is also a BACnet/IP to BACnet/SC router which can be leveraged to route existing BACnet/IP networks to BACnet/SC. In addition, the PXC5/7 is equipped with individually configurable EIA-485 ports with BACnet MS/TP support and routing to the BACnet/IP and BACnet/SC networks.
- The DXR2.E room controllers are BACnet/SC-ready devices, which means that they are devices powerful enough to be upgraded to support BACnet/SC by a firmware upgrade. The room controllers can be installed on BACnet/IP and routed to BACnet/SC by leveraging routing in the PXC5/7 until a firmware upgrade for the DXR2.E is available. Once DXR2.E firmware is upgraded, they can be configured to communicate BACnet/SC natively at which point routing is no longer required.
- ABT Site version 5.2 or higher is required to configure a BACnet/SC network and manage the certificates for the web interfaces PXG3.Wx00-x and touch panels PXMx0.E/-1. The firmware V2.2 or higher is required.
