Regenerate Web internal root certificate

You can regenerate the internal root certificate after having imported an alternative root certificate.
Importing an alternative Web root certificate

This may be the case when e.g. your IT department stops to manage the Web certificates. Now you want to go back using the ABT Site managed internal certificate for your project.

Switching to the internal root discards an imported alternative certificate and rolls back to the signing certificate of ABT Site.

 

Regenerate internal root certificate

  1. The certificates must be renewed before the expiry date.
  2. An alternative root certificate e.g. from the IT department is currently used.
  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Open the Certificates task.
  3. Select the Web certificates tab.
  4. In the Details view, click Regenerate signing certificate.
  5. When asked for confirmation, click OK.
  6. You are now using the root certificate of ABT Site.
  7. The old root certificate is still present in the project for a transition time until you download to all devices.
  8. As soon as every node is using the new root certificate, you can delete the temporary root.
  9. Download the configuration to the devices to remove the temporary root certificate from the devices.
