Regenerate IEEE 802.1X internal root certificate

You can regenerate the internal root certificate after having imported an alternative root certificate.
Importing an alternative IEEE802.1X root certificate

This may be the case when, for example, your IT department stops managing the IEEE802.1X certificates. Now you want to go back using the ABT Site-managed internal certificate for your project.

 

Regenerate internal root certificate

  1. The certificates must be renewed before the expiry date.
  2. An alternative root certificate, for example, from the IT department is currently used.
  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Open the Certificates task.
  3. Select the IEEE802.1X certificates tab.
  4. In the Details view, click Regenerate signing certificate.
  5. When asked for confirmation, click OK.
  6. Download the configuration to the devices to transfer the additional trusted root certificates.
