Air volume flow tracking (AirFlTck11)
Overview
The application function "Air volume flow tracking 11" (AirFlTck11) collaborates with VAV supply and extract air terminal boxes to calculate the extract airflow setpoint.
Function
Room pressurization mode
The extract airflow setpoint depends on the setting of PRMode (Room pressurization mode). PRMode can be set for Neutral, Positive, or Negative room pressure.
Transferred air volume flow
AirFlTrn (Transferred air volume flow) represents the amount of air that enters (infiltration) or exits (exfiltration) a pressurized room through cracks or small openings. In a pressurized room, the extract airflow setpoint differs from supply airflow by the value of AirFlTrn.
Example:
- In a negative pressure room, if AirFlSuR (Room supply air volume flow) = 600 and AirFlTrn = 100, the extract airflow setpoint (PrSpAirFlExR) will = 700.
- In a positive pressure room, if AirFlSuR = 600 and AirFlTrn = 100, PrSpAirFlExR will = 500.
AirFlTrn is a positive number regardless of PRMode value.
