Multi-state Trigger Value object (MTrgVal)

The Multi-state Trigger Value (MTrgVal) object has a fixed number of states (1 through x) and the present value shows which state is currently active. The trigger object normally stays at state 1 to represent idle (ready). The user can select another state (some other number 2 through x) to have the trigger value object perform another action. Each of the other states are unique actions that can be triggered. For example, if there are three actions that can happen for a given Trigger Value object, there would be 4 states (the idle state [1] plus the three other actions to trigger [2 through 4]). The three other actions depend on where the trigger value is applied. When the application has finished what it is triggered to do, the application sets the present value back to 1 (idle). The user cannot set it back to 1; only the application can. The W_MPRVAL XFB must be used to write a value of 1 to the trigger value object. The R_M XFB must be used to read the value of the trigger value object.

'Present value' indicates the present value of the virtual variable.

"State flag" represents four boolean flags ("Out of service", "Overridden", "Fault", "In-Alarm") that indicate the general status of an object.

Reliability

 

 

'Reliability' indicates whether the property value 'Present value' is reliable. If the 'Present value' is not reliable, the property 'Reliability' indicates the cause of the fault and the bit "Fault" of the state indication is set to 'True'. In a normal case, the property 'Reliability' is set to "No fault".

'State text' specifies the enumeration of the multistate value. Preconfigured enumerations can be selected or set to a project-specific enumeration.

"Object access level" defines the instance-specific object access level. "Object access level" is used for generic filtering and processing an object by a client application.

  • "Object access level" is a configuration property which can only be set up offline (ABT, application configuration).
  • "Object access level" is evaluated by client applications such as Technical Operator, DB-Import, and APOGEE Point Team mapping.

Object usage

 

 

"Object usage" indicates whether the object is used or unused. The "Object usage" property can hide or display respective objects and their functionality in a client. For example, room functionality can be marked for flexible room arrangements as used/unused. An object that is marked as unused behaves as if the object does not exist.
