BO PWM with Pulse width modulation: constant period

The following sections show the properties of analog outputs (AO) with the signal type "BO PWM" and the subsystem-specific extension "Pulse width mod.: constant period". Analog outputs with the subsystem-specific extension "Pulse width mod.: constant period" are not supported in Desigo 5.x.

Channel configuration properties

The listed properties are displayed in the Hardware and network editor > Inspector window > Properties tab when the data point is selected in the Device view tab.

Signal type

"Signal type" defines the DRA signal type. Available signal types depend on I/O module type. The signal type can be edited.

Unit

"Unit" defines the physical unit of the input or the output.

Save as

"Save as" saves the set parameters of the I/O data point as an xml-file.

Subsystem-specific extension properties

The listed properties are displayed in the BACnet objects editor > Inspector window > Properties > Configuration tab when the data point is selected in the editor table.

✳ Indicates a Siemens proprietary property.

Pulse period

"Pulse period" defines the length of a switching cycle.

Range: 00:000...109:13 [min:s]

Minimum switch-on time

"Minimum switch-on time" defines the minimal time the device has to be switched-on during a switching cycle.

Range: 1...255 [0.1 s]

Minimum switch-off time

"Minimum switch-off time" defines the minimal time the device has to be switched-off during a switching cycle."

Range: 1...255 [0.1 s]

Output position

"Output position" defines whether the connected physical output is handled as NO (Normally Open) or NC (Normally Closed).

NO contact

The connected physical output is handled as NO.

NC contact

The connected physical output is handled as NC.
