Setting MS/TP baud rate
Use this procedure to set the MS/TP baud rate for MS/TP devices.
The baud rate of all online devices and of all engineered devices (except freely programmable ones) of an MS/TP trunk are updated in one step. Supported devices for this workflow are DXR1, DXR2 and PXC4.

PXC5 and PXC7 are only supported if they are used as a router. 3rd party devices are not supported.
Set the MS/TP baud rate
- Disconnect all unsupported devices from the network. Disconnect by unplugging network communications.
- Discover all MS/TP devices to ensure that all of them are communicating.
- Go to Startup.
- Open the Configure and download task.
- Select a configured MS/TP device supporting proxy services (for example, DXR2 or PXC4).
- Disconnect all unsupported devices from the network.
- Right-click and select Set baud rate for all devices on network.
- The Set baud rate for all devices on network dialog box opens.
- From the Baud rate drop-down list, select the requested baud rate 9600, 19200, 38400, 76800, 115200 and click OK (see MS/TP network limits).
- The project data for all device instances is updated automatically, except for the freely programmable devices and the MS/TP port of the router. The baud rate of the discovered devices is adjusted.
- When ABT Site is connected by Ethernet via a router, the connection to the devices will stop and the baud rate of the router port must be adjusted before the devices are visible again
- Click OK.
- Configure the baud rate individually for all unsupported devices, routers and freely programmable devices.
- Reconnect all unsupported devices to the network.
- All baud rates are set. The project data for all device instances is updated automatically.

For freely programmable devices, the project data for each device instance must be updated from ABT Pro by selecting the Advanced component.
Advanced
For freely programmable devices, the baud rate for each device must be updated in ABT Pro in the BACnet MS/TP settings. Double-click the device in the Engineered Devices window to open ABT Pro.
For Desigo routers, the baud rate of the router port must be updated in Engineered devices > Properties > MS/TP. Perform a full load to update the baud rate in the router (disconnect Ethernet MS/TP and connect Ethernet IP).
