UP 220 device properties

The listed properties are displayed in the Hardware and network editor > Inspector window > Properties tab when the device with KNX PL-Link is selected in the Device view tab.

General and Catalog information

The General and Catalog Information group provides information about the device.

Name

Name is a text field to enter the name of the device. The name is used to identify the device in the device view.

Comment is a free text field to enter any helpful information on the device.

Power consumption shows the power the device consumes. Read only.

Unit: [mA]

The value is used to calculate the remaining power of the KNX rail.

Short designation

Short designation shows a short description of the device. Read only.

Order number

Order number shows the device type. Read only.

Serial number used defines the method used for device identification.

Function channels 1/2

Functions channels 1/2 defines if the channels 1 and 2 are paired and if the channels are used as inputs or outputs.

2 Inputs: Channels 1 and 2 are not paired and are configured as inputs. A single pushbutton can be connected to each channel.

1 Input: Channels 1 and 2 are paired and are configured as inputs. A 2-fold pushbutton can be connected to the pair of channels.

1 Input/1 Output: Channels 1 and 2 are not paired. One channel is configured as input and the other channel as output. A single pushbutton can be connected to each channel.

2 Outputs: Channels 1 and 2 are paired and are configured as outputs. A 2-fold pushbutton can be connected to the pair of channels.

Functions channels 3/4 defines if the channels 3 and 4 are paired and if the channels are used as inputs or outputs.

Functions

The functions table in the Channel Overview provides an overview of the channels of the device. Depending on the device the values in the table are read only or can be edited. The available types depend on the device and the application function.

Light switching sensor basic (LSSB)

Rising edge defines the switching behavior of the pushbutton if a rising edge is detected.

Inactive: No message is sent. The light is neither switched on nor switched off.

Switch off: The light is switched off.

Switch on: The light is switched on.

Switchover: If the light is on, it is switched off. If the light is off, it is switched on.

Push button function

Push button function defines if 1 or 2 pushbuttons are used for switching or dimming and defines the behavior of the pushbuttons.

Switching & dimming: 1 pushbutton is used. A short key press toggles between switching the light on or off. A long key press toggles between dimming the lights up or down.

On & dimming up: 1 pushbutton is used. A short key press switches the light on and a long key press dims the light up.

Off & dimming down: 1 pushbutton is used. A short key press switches the light off and a long key press dims the light down.

2 buttons, switching & dimming: 2 pushbuttons are used. One of the buttons switches the light on or dims the light up the other switches the light off or dims the light down.

Polarity inverse

Polarity inverse defines how dimming up and dimming down are assigned to the buttons.

: Left or lower button: dimming up, right or upper button: dimming down.

Scene Sensor (SCS)
