BACnet properties
The following properties must be unique in the project for all devices:
- Device name
- Device instance number
- IP address
- MS/TP address (combination of MAC address and network number)
- Serial number (must be unique or empty)
Checking for duplicate device properties
The following BACnet properties can only be set for the whole project in Settings > Address defaults, and in the Add devices dialog box when adding devices.
- Device name prefix
- Device description

You can override the device name and the device description. The default device name prefix and description will be used as initial values when adding devices.
You can override the following BACnet properties in the details of a building, building element or device. The following table is an overview of BACnet properties, and where you can override them.
